Sri Sai Narayana Organization
Description

The Sri Sai Narayana Organization is a non-profit spiritual and cultural center, home to the Sri Amrutha Sai Narayana Sarveshwaralayam (Sai Temple), located on a serene six-acre property in Manakin-Sabot, Virginia. Inspired by Sai Baba's doctrine of "unity of all religions, service to humanity, harmony and peace," the organization offers a tranquil sanctuary for worship, meditation, and community engagement. The temple's mission is to foster a purposeful life for individuals through selfless service, love, and compassion.

Key features
Diverse deities and architecture

Prayoga Shastra design: The temple is the first in the Western Hemisphere to be built on the principles of Prayoga Shastra, a concept designed to bestow good health, wealth, and prosperity.

Sai Amrutha Narayana: The main blackstone idol in the temple is of Sai Amrutha Narayana, the divine embodiment of "Amrutham," or divine nectar.
Other shrines: The temple complex features separate shrines for multiple deities, including Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Lord Venkateswara, and others.

Dwarakamayi Mandir: A separate building on the grounds houses a life-size marble statue of Sai Baba, a Dhuni (sacred fire), and a shrine for Runavimochana Ganapathy.

Gurusthan: The grounds include a dedicated Gurusthan, or holy place, under an ash tree where devotees can meditate, replicating the sacred energy of the original Gurusthan in Shirdi.

Community and service

"Sandwich Seva": As part of its community outreach, the organization runs a "Sandwich Seva" initiative, where volunteers prepare and deliver sandwiches to those in need every Saturday.

Classes and programs: The organization promotes Indian arts, culture, and healthy living through yoga, dance, and Vedic chanting classes.

Community events: Special events, such as Arathi ceremonies and devotional gatherings, foster a sense of community and celebration.
Natural and serene environment

Meditative grounds: The temple sits on nearly six acres of peaceful land, with a natural pond filled with lotuses and lilies, and is surrounded by lush gardens and walking paths.

Vriksha Bhavani: The property is home to a "Divine Tree" known as Vruksha Bhavani.

Goshala: The grounds feature a small goshala that houses cows, whose fresh milk is used for temple rituals.
