New England Siva Temple

The Parvati Parameshwara Temple, also known as the New England Siva Temple (NEST), is a religious organization and community hub dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is a Sivalayam, a South Indian style temple, offering a serene and sacred space for the Hindu community in Littleton, MA, and the wider New England region.
As a non-profit organization established over a decade ago, the temple provides a focal point for spiritual practice, cultural events, and community-building. It is more than just a place of worship; it is a center that fosters cultural connections, language education, and charitable activities.

Key features

Deities and sanctum: The temple's central focus is the main shrine, or garbhagriha, which houses the deities of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It also includes idols of the Shiv Parivar and Navagrahas (nine planetary deities).

Cultural and community center: In addition to religious services, the temple provides a venue for community engagement. It hosts events and offers educational services, such as Telugu language classes through SiliconAndhra University.

Regular services and rituals: Devotees can participate in regular religious services and rituals, including Pradosham and Archana ceremonies.

On-site canteen: A canteen is open on weekends, serving food and snacks for the community.

Community support: The temple is supported by community members and relies on fundraising for its upkeep and expansion.

Recent consecration: The temple recently underwent its Prana Prathishta, a consecration ritual for its idols, in July and August 2025.
