Monaco (AFP) – Gonzalo Higuain struck a clinical brace as Juventus claimed a 2-0 victory away to Monaco in Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg.

The Argentine forward buried a first-time strike to fire the Italian giants ahead on 29 minutes at the Stade Louis II before grabbing his second on the hour from another Dani Alves assist.

Juve are heavy favourites to reach the final for the second time in three years going into next Tuesday’s return in Turin, having finished runners-up to Barcelona in 2015.
