Description
The Hindu Temple of Kentucky, located at 4213 Accomack Dr in Louisville, is a vibrant spiritual and cultural landmark founded in 1999. Serving as a beacon for the Hindu community in Kentucky and beyond, the temple provides a welcoming space for prayer, meditation, and cultural exploration.
Designed by the renowned architect V. Ganapathi Sthapathi, the temple showcases a beautiful blend of North and South Indian temple architecture. This reflects the diverse traditions of its community and creates a harmonious environment for all devotees.
Our Deities and Services:
Visitors can experience the spiritual energy of multiple shrines, including those for the main deities, Lord Shiva and Lord Balaji (Venkateswara). Other revered deities housed within the complex include Ananda Vinayaka (Ganesha), Durga, Saraswathi, Navagraha Devata, Lakshmi, and Subrahmanya. A dedicated Jain temple with Mahavir Swami Bhagwan is also part of the complex, further highlighting the temple's inclusive spirit.
The temple's mission goes beyond daily worship. We host a wide range of community events and religious festivals throughout the year, such as Diwali, Navaratri, and Janmashtami. Educational programs, spiritual classes, and youth programs help preserve and pass on our rich Hindu traditions to future generations.
