We are seeking a talented and organized freelance interviewer to conduct interviews with Desi business owners in major states and provinces across the United States and Canada. The primary goal is to gather authentic, high-quality, and detailed information to create compelling business profiles for our online directory. This role requires exceptional communication skills and a deep understanding of, and respect for, the Desi business community.

Adhere to project guidelines: Follow a structured questionnaire to ensure consistent information gathering while also having the skill to conduct open-ended, conversational interviews.
Gather authentic content: Collect specific, verifiable information about the business, such as its history, services, and unique value proposition.
Develop compelling stories: Capture the unique story and "why" behind each business to produce rich, narrative-driven content for business profiles.
Manage information and reporting: Accurately record and document all interview responses and submit them using our specific data collection tools.
Maintain quality: Review all recorded information for completeness and clarity, ensuring it meets DesiForce.com's standards.
Represent DesiForce.com: Professionally and courteously represent the company during all interactions with business owners.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Proficiency in additional South Asian languages (e.g., Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Gujarati) is a significant asset.
Cultural competency: Strong familiarity with South Asian business culture and professional etiquette is required.
Professional experience: Proven experience conducting business or journalistic-style interviews is highly preferred.
Self-motivation: The ability to work independently, manage a project schedule, and meet deadlines is critical for success.
Organizational skills: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational habits are necessary for managing multiple interviews.
Technical skills: Comfort with conducting remote interviews via phone or video conference and using digital tools for data entry is a must.
Adaptability: The ability to be resourceful and navigate unexpected challenges during an interview is valuable.
