Description
Since 1981, the Islamic Center of Columbia, known locally as Masjid al-Muslimiin, has been a central pillar for the Muslim community in Columbia, SC. Located on Gervais Street, this self-sufficient community serves local residents and international students from the nearby University of South Carolina. The masjid is not only a place of worship for the five daily prayers but also a hub for educational and social services. With its distinctive five-sided, vertically striped brick and concrete facade, the center is a modern architectural landmark dedicated to both spiritual growth and community welfare.
