Masjid At-Thohir is a unique and vital house of worship in the heart of Los Angeles, serving as a spiritual home and a vibrant community center for the Indonesian Muslim population. Originally a historic church building constructed in the 1920s, it was purchased by the Indonesian Muslim Foundation in Los Angeles (IMFO) in 2017 and converted into a mosque, blending its historic American architecture with a mission of promoting tolerance, harmony, and peace as reflected in the Indonesian Islamic principle of Rahmatan Lil Alamin (mercy to all).
