Description
MCB was founded to provide a dedicated space for the Muslim community in Bethlehem and surrounding areas, who previously had to travel at least 20 minutes for congregational prayer. The center follows the concept of Mizan (balance), striving to foster a balanced approach to life—societally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. It emphasizes equal representation regardless of race or social status and aims to build bridges with the non-Muslim community through positive engagement and outreach.
Key Features
Core Services: Offers five daily congregational prayers and special services like Ramadan Iftars and Eid prayers.
Educational Programs: Features a weekend school and a reading program for children to learn the Quran, prayer, and Islamic studies.
Youth & Social Engagement: Hosts community meals, picnics, and programs focused on social interaction for Muslim youth.
Civic Outreach: Actively participates in Bethlehem’s broader community life, including representation in interfaith councils and school systems.
Future Growth: The organization is actively raising funds for a new masjid construction project on a 20-acre property to accommodate its growing capacity.
