Judge Neera Bahl serves as an Appellate Judge and Director on the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation (SBWC), a pivotal role she has held since her appointment by Governor Brian Kemp in August 2020. In this capacity, Judge Bahl is part of a three-member Board that functions as the Appellate Division, responsible for administering the Workers' Compensation Act in Georgia. The Board's duties encompass judicial, administrative, and regulatory functions, including hearing appeals from administrative law judges, approving settlements, and ensuring compliance with workers' compensation laws. Judge Bahl's extensive legal background includes serving as a law clerk for Fulton County Superior Court Judge Honorable Gail S. Tusan and as a Constituent Representative for U.S. Representative Denise Majette, focusing on immigration issues.
