Description
Vestavia's Sibyl Temple is a historical landmark and scenic overlook that offers a taste of Italian-inspired architecture high above the Shades Valley. Originally, it built in 1929 as a gazebo on former Birmingham Mayor George Ward's estate. Firstly the temple is a smaller replica of the ancient Temple of the Sibyl in Tivoli, Italy. After the demolition of Ward's estate, the local Garden Club saved the structure . And relocated it to its current prominent location. Where it now serves as an iconic gateway to the city. Today, It is a sought-after location for proposals, photography, and peaceful reflection.
